Studio Insolite is the private residence department of La Movida NV, a branding, interior design and construction agency founded in 1988 in Belgium.

It was born from a natural evolution: years of designing space where people live, work, and gather. And a growing demand from private clients for the same level of care, discretion and execution within their own homes.

At the heart of Studio Insolite are Michèle De Maertelaere and Maximilien Peeters, a mother-and-son duo combining complementary strengths.

Michèle brings over three decades of experience in interior design, spatial harmony and material sensibility. Her approach is intuitive yet rigorous, rooted in proportion, balance and the belief that a home should feel calm, coherent and lived-in from day one.

Maximilien adds a contemporary vision shaped by branding, project structuring and client experience. His role is to translate creative intent into clear processes, budgets and timelines, thus ensuring that every project moves forward with confidence and control.

Together, they bridge heritage and modernity, creativity and execution, offering private clients a rare balance: inspired interiors, guided by experience, and delivered with precision.
